Teaching adults has its joys and challenges alike, and ensuring effective and motivating lessons each time can be demanding.
We will introduce ways to apply coaching models into your existing teaching routines to increase awareness, provide a wider learning scope, and boost learner and teacher wellbeing.
Corporate environments are an ideal backdrop for using models and frameworks, some of which we will demonstrate to the audience attending. Our practical talk will offer actionable takeaways such as coaching models and key questions to ask - for teachers and learners at any level.

Carrie McKinnon

Co-Founder, International Language Coaching Association (ILCA)

Carrie McKinnon is a language and communication coach with a background in ESL and applied linguistics. She helps people say what they mean, clearly and credibly, in their own voice. Carrie coaches corporate clients, teachers, and refugee and immigrant communities, and she develops practical materials and routines for real classrooms.
At ILCA, Carrie co-leads strategy and growth and develops courses and resources. One of her proudest accomplishments is launching the annual ILCA Conference, which brings language coaches, researchers, and teachers into community and moves the field forward, now in its fifth year.
Carrie also founded 28ish, a women’s digital health venture that translates menstrual cycle awareness into how we learn, work, and lead. She holds a B.S. in Applied Linguistics and an M.S.Ed. in Global Higher Education.

Gabriella Kovács MA, PCC is an ICF-certified language coach, business communication trainer, career coach and conference speaker. Author of A Comprehensive Language Coaching Handbook (Pavilion Publishing and Media, 2022) and an ICF-accredited program trainer. She brings a global perspective to her work with corporations, focusing on communication wellbeing with a coaching-in-nature framework.
Co-founder of the International Language Coaching Association (ILCA) and an ICF-accredited program trainer, she is committed to elevating the standards of language coaching and providing professional development opportunities for language educators and practitioners worldwide with ILCA and as an Erasmus course trainer. She also leads complex career transitions from teacher to coach.
Originally from Australia, she brings a global perspective to her work with international companies, focusing on communication wellbeing with a coaching-in-nature framework. Her business writing skills and presentation training expertise facilitate effective communication strategies for diverse contexts.
